What Causes the “Not Secure” Warning When Logging in Through My Website?

When you try to log in using your website's Staff Login form, you might encounter a warning that says:
“The information that you're about to submit is not secure.”

This happens because the login form on your website is using an outdated, non-HTTPs webmail URL.
Modern browsers, antivirus tools, and browser extensions will flag or block such links to protect you from submitting sensitive information over an unencrypted connection.

What does this mean?

  • The login form is not using HTTPS (secure connection).
  • Your data (e.g., username, password) could be exposed during transmission.
  • This issue is not caused by your email system itself, but by the way the login form is set up on your website.

How to Fix It

To resolve the issue:
1. Contact your website developer or designer.
2. Ask them to update the [Staff Login] button on your website.
3. The button should link to the latest secure login page, which is:

  https://lookafter.com/login/

Once updated, the login link will direct users to a secure page, and the warning will no longer appear.

If your original developer is unavailable, you can drop us an email at helpdesk@lookafter.com for further assistance.
Note that a one-time web update service charge is applicable.
