Email Hosting DNS Pointing for Third-party Name Servers

Customers who have their DNS nameservers (NS) hosted with third-party providers but prefer to host their emails with Lookafter/AfterOffice can do so by configuring IP pointing to our email server.

However, we strongly recommend customers to host the DNS with Lookafter/AfterOffice as email configuration involves complicated setup like SPF, DKIM, DMARC and more.

In addition, the mail server / IP would also be changed when required. If you could not follow up with the changes, you could experience email service down.

If you wish to proceed with the arrangement, you understand that the third-party NS provider shall perform the necessary NS update and point the MX correctly to Lookafter/AfterOffice server.

You also agree that Lookafter/AfterOffice will not be responsible for:-

  • The lost of email due to invalid configuration of MX or reluctance to update MX.
  • Poor reputation on email delivery due to invalid or outdated configuration of SPF, or reluctance to update SPF.
  • Outdated DKIM records.
  • Outdated DMARC records.
  • Email account compromise issues due to NS being compromised.
  • Any incoming or outgoing email issues due to NS service unavailability.
  • Delay on email service due to change of email servers / IP.
  • Degraded email services due to upgrade of email server.
  • Delayed deployment on email disaster recovery.
