I am getting too many Junk mails, what should I do?

There are several potential reasons for receiving an influx of junk emails. Your email address may have been obtained by spammers through various means, such as online registrations, data breaches, or sharing it on public forums. Additionally, email addresses that are published on the website are bound to receive more junk as they are easily picked up by spammers.

While Lookafter has already filtered off a lot of junk mails at the server level, there are several ways that you can consider to further decrease the amount of Junk mails received in your inbox:

1. Enable junk mail filtering

Enabling junk mail filtering option can filter out high junk ranked emails on your webmail.
If you have already enabled this option but still get a lot of spams, consider increasing the sensitivity option.

2. Blacklist spam email address

Blacklisting or blocking known spam email addresses can ensure that you no longer receive emails from them.
You can either add the spam email address into your black list, or, request your Administrator to block it at the domain level by using Global Mail Rules.

3. Unsubscribe from unwanted newsletters

This involves opting out of receiving newsletters or promotional emails from sources that you no longer wish to receive emails from. By unsubscribing from unwanted newsletters, you can reduce the clutter in your inbox and minimize the amount of irrelevant emails you receive.

4. Avoid sharing email address online

Be cautious about sharing your email address on the internet, especially on public platforms or websites that may not have strict privacy policies. When you share your email address online, it increases the risk of it being harvested by spammers or added to mailing lists without your consent.
